Best Selling Author to Speak to Pikeville Bar Association
Don McNay CLU, ChFC, MSFS, CSSC, author the best-selling book, WealthWithout Wall Street: A Main Street Guide to Making Money, will be speaking to the Pikeville Bar Association on Thursday November 10.

McNay’s talk will be on the topic of Innovative Settlement Techniques and scheduled to last for seventy minutes. His talk will focus on guardianships and conservatorships, structured settlements, trusts and qualified settlement funds.
McNay will also discuss two chapters of the Wealth Without Wall Street book. The chapters are titled, “Why You Need a Will”, and “The Case for Consulting With an Attorney. “
An award-winning financial columnist and Huffington Post contributor, McNay has appeared on numerous television and radio programs in the United States and Canada, including the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. He has been quoted in publications around the world, including USA Today and Forbes, Registered Representative, and Financial Planning magazines.
McNay is considered one of the world’s leading experts in structured settlements and qualified settlement funds. His company has been noted for its work with special-needs children, along with injury victims and lottery winners.
In 2000, McNay helped found the Kentucky Guardianship Administrators, which administers qualified settlement funds nationwide and serves as a court-appointed conservator for juveniles and incapacitated people in Kentucky. He is the owner of McNay Consulting and provides entrepreneurial advice for small-business owners. He is also a fee-based insurance consultant for individuals and businesses in Kentucky and a licensed claims adjuster.
A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, McNay was inducted into the Eastern Kentucky University Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 1998. McNay has a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a second masters from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
